AIS Progress Report for  Wright County

           Attending will be:

                       Patric Selter from PLM Lake and Land Management Corp

                       Chad Handler from Lake Restoration Inc.

Dale Gustafson will lead the discussion and will also represent the MNCOLA

on the AIS permitting process.

Our guests are going to attend to hear about your year of AIS management

They will also give us a prospective of how it went for them as applicators.

Please take some time to gather you information and assess you results and

problems.  We would like to collect a short written statement from every

lake that did treatment this year.

This is intended as a listening session for everyone with perhaps a summary

at the end about the efforts of treating AIS in Wright County.

It is likely that we will form a committee to continue this work over the

winter.  Give some thought about who can represent your lake.   Each lake

that does treatment should consider volunteering for this committee.

We will also attempt to address the idea of establishing a program in Wright

County that would provide a decontamination station serving the local lakes.

There could be money available to help in this effort as early as next

summer.

We know this is a vital issue for a large number of lakes in Wright County.

For those who are treating AIS, please be sure you are represented at the

meeting.  For those who have not treated AIS, this is the best way to find

out what you will have to deal with in the future.
