Greater Lake Sylvia Association

Working to maintain & improve your Lake Sylvia!

Annual Meeting for 2024 will be Saturday, June 1st

9:00 At at South Side Township Hall

There was a great turnout for the 2023 GLSA Annual Meeting.  Thanks everyone for coming!

We had three special guests join us. Wright County Commissioner Tina Dierks, Lake Koronis Association board member and Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) Committee Chair Kevin Farnum and Connor McComas of Blue Water Pond.

Commissioner Dierks listened to our members concerns about traffic and boating issues around the lake. Kevin spoke on fighting Starry Stonewort on Lake Koronis and their continuous, persistent battle with this aggressive AIS. Connor updated us on testing being done for several years now near the public boat launch and at various spots on the lake for AIS.

It was very informative and encouraging to learn about the efforts being taken to keep our lake free of aggressive AIS. We thank them for coming.

A special thanks to our incredible AIS committee Blaine Barkley, Jim Gray and Russ Fortner for staying ahead of this important issue.

Shout out to Any Thyme Catering for the yummy omelettes and fresh fruit.
